Second Division byla nahrazena League One a Third Division League Two.

Historie[editovat | editovat zdroj]

První získala název Football League First Division a druhá Football League Second Division. Až v roce 1992 se 22 týmů First Division rozhodlo odstoupit z First Division a založit Premier League. To mělo zvýšit zisky a příjmy z televizních práv. Football League byla reorganizovaná. Z Second, Third a Fourth Division se staly First, Second a Third Division a v novém formátu zůstal systém play off.
