Sezóna 1995/1996 byla 79. sezonou NHL. Vítězem Stanley Cupu se stal tým Colorado Avalanche. V této sezoně se naposled přestavil tým Winnipeg Jets, který se následně přestěhoval do Arizony a přejmenoval se na Phoenix Coyotes.
