Desiderius Orbán či Dezider Orbán, narozený jako Dezső Orbán podle obvyklého maďarského systému Orbán Dezső, byl maďarsko-australský malíř, grafik a pedagog. Desiderius Orbán se narodil v roce 1884 v Győru v Maďarsku, od roku 1939 žil v Austrálii, zemřel v roce 1986 v australském Sydney .

Desiderius Orbán se narodil 26. listopadu 1884 v v Győru v Maďarsku v maďarsko-židovské rodině, v ranném věku se přestěhoval s rodiči do Budapešti. Studoval na universitě v Budapešti matematiku a fyziku, přitahovalo ho však více výtvarné umění. V roce 1906 odešel do Paříže a začal studovat na pařížské Julianově akademii, kterou však nedokončil. V roce 1909 se vrátil do Budapešti. V roce 1911 byl jedním ze zakládajících členů skupiny Osm. Ve své tvorbě byl ovlivněn malíři jako byli Henri Matisse, Vincent van Gogh či Paul Cézanne.

V roce 1939 odešel před nacisty nejdříve do Londýna a pak do Austrálie, kde se usadil. V Austrálii se mu přesto podařilo prosadit jako výtvarník a také jako pedagog výtvarného umění. Vedl soukromé kurzy a také dlouhá léta působil na univerzitě of New England v Armidale. Zemřel v Sydney 5. října 1986 ve věku nedožitých 102 let.
