Français : La tour qui figure sur les armoiries de Meinier, rappelle l'ancien château-fort de Rouelbeau, alors que les fasces ondées symbolisent les marais et les prairies de la commune. 
L'étoile à six pointes rappelle la commune elle-même, avec ses six hameaux (Meinier, Carre-d'Amont, Carre-d'Aval, Compois, Corsinge et Essert). Meinier fut cédée par la Savoie à Genève au Traité de Turin en 1816.
