Die Schlüssel reden für das edelfreie Geschlecht der Schlüsselberger, die umfangreichen Besitz im Kreisgebiet hatten. An die Zugehörigkeit der früher kreisfreien Stadt Forchheim zum Landkreis erinnert der Fisch aus dem Stadtwappen. |
