Philip Rosen

Philip E. Rosen (8. května 1888 Marienburg, Německé císařství – 22. října 1951 Hollywood, Kalifornie) byl americký filmový režisér a kameraman. Během své kariéry, která trvala od roku 1915 do roku 1949, režíroval více než 140 filmů.

Životopis

Rosen se narodil v Marienburgu (dnešní Malbork v Polsku), vyrůstal v Machias v Maine a zemřel v Hollywoodu na infarkt. Byl jedním ze zakládajících členů Americké společnosti kameramanů (American Society of Cinematographers).

Byl ženatý s modelkou a herečkou Joyzelle Joyner. Měl režírovat film The Mad Dog of Europe, který napsal Herman J. Mankiewicz a jehož hlavní postavou měl být Rudolph Hitler, ale film nakonec nikdy nevznikl.
