The island listed belong to the Italian state (the Republic of Italy). If are to be listed, instead, the islands of Italy, as geographical region, more islands should be added as Malta, Corsica, Palagruza, etc and deleted Linosa, Lampione and Lampedusa. Yes, you are right, however this list is connected with Italy like a state (cause we are using word "Itálie/Italy" like name of Italian Republic in Czech language) so I believe it is OK. --Chmee2 16. 10. 2010, 10:37 (UTC)
However in Wikipedia in other languages it is specified Italy as Republic of Italy. This problem arises only in few countries in the World were state borders and geographical region borders do not overlap. This is the case of Italy, Korea, Japan, etc.--Deguef 17. 10. 2010, 08:32 (UTC)
