Charles Wright Mills (* 28. srpna 1916, Waco, Texas – 20. března 1962, Nyack, New York) byl americký sociolog. Pochopit biografii a historii současně umožňuje právě sociologie, která nám dodává potřebné informace a znalosti, které nám umožňují podívat se na život kompletně a z nadhledu. Tyto schopnosti nazývá sociologickou imaginací.
